Mid Century Modern

St Francis Wood

Our clients bought this mid-century home in San Francisco which had undergone 1970’s-era renovations that resulted in dated finishes and a floor plan with small closed-off rooms. Seeing the potential for a restored space for casual entertaining on the main floor, our clients turned to us to create a bright, open area where the Kitchen and Family Room easily allowed for cooking and conversation where friends and family gather. By removing an interior wall, we created an open Kitchen and Family space, inviting sunlight in by enlarging the window and door. A new lighting scheme, flooring, and finishes visually tie the two together resulting in a charming, light-filled home.
