St. Francis Wood Mid-Century Renovation

San Francisco

With a home renovation in mind, our clients purchased this mid-century San Francisco home, with dated finishes and a floor plan consisting of small closed-off rooms. Seeing the potential for a more conducive space for casual entertaining, our clients turned to us to create a bright, open area where the kitchen and family room easily allowed for both cooking and conversing when their friends and family gathered. By removing an interior wall, we created an open kitchen and family room. The enlarged window and door allowed for more natural light to fill the space. A new lighting scheme, flooring, and finishes visually tie the two together resulting in a charming, light-filled home.
