Monterey Heights 1920’s Home Restoration
San Francisco
While the owners of this Monterey Heights home were away, a broken water line flooded the entire home. The water damage destroyed most of the home’s interior. A devastating circumstance indeed, but at the same time it presented a silver lining opportunity to rebuild in a way that better suited their needs. The foyer was redesigned to create an inviting entrance with graceful proportions. The connectivity between the kitchen, family, and eating areas were enhanced by re-configuring the flow of each room. The kitchen now includes more prep space, a wine station, and increased storage. New detailing on the cabinets, floors, fireplace, and bathrooms created a custom home while maintaining its original character. The result, in the homeowners’ words: “Amazing!”
