Are You Destined to be a "Golden" Boomer?
A Golden Boomer is a Baby Boomer who is retired or will retire from an occupation or profession.
The Golden Boomer Era officially started on January 1, 2011 when the first of the Baby Boomers reached the age of 65.
Every day, for the next 19 years, 10,000 Baby Boomers will turn 65 each day. It will be the largest population of educated and skilled older adults in our history.
If you were born between the years of January 1, 1946 and December 31, 1964 you will eventually be a Golden Boomer.
At HOUSEworks we are beginning to hear and respond to the rumble of this very large and influential group.
As Golden Boomer homeowners begin to contemplate their future housing needs, we continue to educate ourselves on the latest innovative ideas and are incorporating a Universal Design approach to remodeling projects.
A Universal Design approach not only offers beneficial design elements for homeowners of all ages and for resale purposes, but it is especially fitting to those that are planning to “age in place” in their current home, along with the need for family homes to accommodate multiple generations needing or choosing to live together under one roof, either semi-permanently or permanently.
If you are interested in learning more about Universal Design email Jeff at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Remember the days (maybe just yesterday) of manually searching through and clipping out great ideas, home design pictures or projects in magazines and newspapers and then corralling them into a folder, pinning them on a bulletin board or perhaps stuffing them in a drawer for future use or to share with others?
Now fast forward to the year 2012.
We still want to corral our ideas, likes and interests to share and remember, but modern technology has taken it all to another level which means no paper, scissors or tacks required.
Our customers are beginning to share their virtual idea folders with us which is an excellent communicative way to begin the remodeling process.
